In order to properly implement the Fremont Unified School district homework guidelines, I have listed the expectations for homework below:

  • Per district guidelines, your child is expected to work on homework for an average of 0 to 25 minutes a night; additional reading is highly encouraged but not required.
  • Your child will receive daily homework (Monday-Thursday) except on holidays, vacations, breaks, and on days where we have an evening function.
  • A Homework newsletter will be sent home for reference each week.
  • Monday thru Thursday, students will be assigned Language Arts and Math homework. Occasionally, there may be Science or Social Studies substituted for one of the above areas.
  • All homework is to be returned to school the following day.
  • Students will receive a Dojo point for completed homework on Due date.
  • Oops Form will be sent home for missed homework to be signed by parent/guardian and returned.
  • Homework will be reviewed and corrected by students. Expect to find corrected homework in your child’s Durham folder each Wednesday, as well as all other school wide correspondence.
  • Excused absences are allotted the same number of days of absences to complete work.
  • Please contact teacher if you feel your child has special circumstances and needs accommodations for homework.
